If you want to increase the reaction speed of
the start menu, so it could appear quickly or slowly when you move
your mouse pointer over them. Click the windows menu item and then
choose windows start manager and then click the start menu button
and then move the slider bar for right to get slower reaction or
to the left to get faster reaction and then click the apply
button.
Security.

If you want to hide / un hide the task bar
settings, Run, shutdown, control panel folder, and find. command
from the start menu. Click the windows menu item and then choose
windows start manager and then click the security button, and then
check or unchecked any item you need (task bar settings, run,
shutdown, control panel folder or find). and then click the apply
button.

To disable / enable the right mouse click on
the desktop so you could prevent others from adding new shortcuts
to your desktop or from getting access to the display properties.
Click the windows menu item and then choose windows start manager
and then click the security button and then check / un check the
disable right mouse click option. and then click the apply button.
Explorer.

If you want to
remove / add the file menu item from explorer. so no body can add
new short cuts or access to other programs. Click the windows menu
item and then choose windows start manager and then click the
explorer button and then check / un check the hide file menu in
explorer item and click the apply button.

If you want to
see the Bmp files as thumbnails in your explorer, Click the
windows menu item and then choose windows start manager and then
click the explorer button and then check the display as thumbnails
option and click the apply button.
Control Panel.

If you want to hide / show any listed item
from the control panel items (game controller, modem control
panel, telephone control panel, desktop settings, Internet control
panel, regional settings, mouse keyboard ... settings, multimedia
shell extensions, network control panel, password control panel,
system control panel, and time - date settings) check / un check
any item to show it or hide it from control panel.

1.
Boot Menu
To change the booting delay time, or to
change the pause time of the booting menu when it appears. Click
the windows menu item and then choose windows start manager and
then click the boot settings button and then change the time you
need and notice the time is in seconds, and then click the apply
button.
If you want to show the booting menu when the
computer starts, check the automatically show the boot menu item
and click the apply button.
If you want to enable / disable the boot keys
( F4,F5,F6,F8), check / un check the enable F4,F5.... item and
click the apply button.
Notes.
Changes of boot settings will take effect each
time you start your computer, So please be careful when using these
settings, and also when you use these settings with other security
settings described before.

Boot Parameters
If you want windows go
always
directly to certain mode ( normal, dos, safe, and safe mode with
network support). Click the windows menu item and then choose
windows start manager and then click the boot settings, click the
boot parameters button and then choose your option and click the
apply button.
To disable / enable the animated bootlogo
when windows start up, or enable dual booting or to worn if
booting in safe mode. Click the windows menu item and then choose
windows start manager and then click the boot settings, click the
boot parameters button and then check or un check your option and
click the apply button.
If you want enable / disable scan disk from
starting when windows crashes. Click the windows menu item and
then choose windows start manager and then click the boot
settings, click the boot parameters button and then check or un
check the start scan disk...... pleas note it is better to let
scan disk perform it's check when windows crash, to keep your disk
in good conditions.
Notes.
When you for example choose reboot in dos mode
then each time you start your computer it always will go to dos
mode, so please be carful. you could use this item to force the
windows go directly to the normal mode, so if you using security
items you then could prevent others from accessing safe / dos mode.

Boot Screens.
To change the startup,please wait, and shut
down screens,Click the windows menu item and then choose windows
start manager and then click the boot settings, click the boot
screens. to preview the current screen pictures click the preview
button of that screen, and you could see that picture if it is
exist. if you want to change that screen for example start up
screen check the item " display start up screen " and then click
the " change screen " button, and choose your new picture file.
please note only Bmp files with dimensions of 320 X 400 Pix and
256 colors. you could save your picture in any picture editor.
recommended paint shop. and so on for other screens. If you want
to remove any screen picture, only un check that screen item and
then click apply button.
Misc.

To hide / show the disk top icons, Click the
windows menu item and then choose windows start manager and then
click the Misc Button. and check / un check the "hide disk top
icons", and click the apply button.

To prevent others from editing your own
registry settings, and to increase your security options do use
this option, Click the windows menu item and then choose windows
start manager and then click the Misc button. check / un check
"disable registry editing tools ".

To auto log on to the windows (win2000 only),
if you use user name and password to log on to your system. Click
the windows menu item and then choose windows start manager and
then click the Misc button. Check enable automatic logon option
and then enter your user name and password and if you have domain
name then click apply button to save these settings.

To hide any drive in windows (to prevent
other from accessing this drive), Click the windows menu item and
then choose windows start manager and then click the Misc button.
then from drive list select drive(s) letter and then click apply
button. if you want to show any hidden drive same procedure only
un check drive letter then click apply button.
System.

Get windows user / Company Name. If you want
to get the user name or the company name of your system, or if you
want to modify these data Click the windows menu item and then
choose windows start manager and then click the system button.
Then make your modification and click apply button to save your
new settings.

Get Windows Setup Path. To get the original
path when you firstly install the windows. let us say that you
install windows from the (d:\) drive, and later you install a
second fixed drive then the default changes for windows setup path
will remain (d:\) which is now the fixed drive. so when ever you
want to install any hardware or any item to the windows it will
ask you the windows driver and it will point to (d:\) drive. so to
change this Click the windows menu item and then choose windows
start manager and then click the Misc button. then in install
windows path enter the new setup path assume (e:\win98\) and click
the apply button.

restart windows.
